Just bear in mind that this is a list (based on 2010 data provided by Euromonitor International, compiled in 2011) of most successful dog food companies in the world. This list is ONLY based on market share, market growth and financial results. It’s NOT a list of best dog food quality in descending order but of course such a list would be the single most important one for you and your furry friend.

Note that only the number 10 position differs from the last list.

#1 Marc Inc. (Mars Petcare)

Mars headquaters resides in Brussels, Belgium.

Mars shows no signs of slowing down and had more new product releases than the other petfood companies. It’s been on a steady number 1 position for years.

Their top billion-dollar dog food brands are Cesar, Greenies, Nutro, Pedigree, Royal Canin:
